Important Changes on DCBE   The Brazilian Central Bank has changed the reporting requirement to assets totaling US$ 1 million. In addition, it added three new important and specific items on the DCBE – “Ativo: Empresas – Participação no Capital”. This affects the participation in foreign companies. The Central Bank has included specific items regardingincome/results for this year’s annual report, due on April 5th. It is not possible to obtain this information from bank statements

Closely held US entities and certain foreign companies doing business in the US will need to report information to the US Treasury (FinCen) regarding Beneficial Owners for holding or ‘shell’ companies, or companies with less than 20 employees. This legislation aims to deter money laundering, terrorist and other illicit activities, and permit international cooperation. Framework and Reporting Frequency Pending further regulation, reporting for existing entities will commence in 2022. New incorporations will start reporting beneficial
